Hi!
I'm so excited...I'm opening a new store in downtown Wheaton. It's called "the Genuine Art-icle". It's not a typical kind of store, because it's a studio workshop, gallery and bead shop. I've been a professional artist and art instructor for over 30 years, so an important feature of the store is my workshops. I'm teaching classes in lampwork bead making, which uses a torch to melt glass rods into sculptural beads, and jewelry making techniques using metal clay, wire, and polymer clays, and of course, I'm teaching beadwork and bead stringing. I'm also teaching classes in kaleidoscope design and construction.
The studio gallery features local artists, as well as internationally known artists. I hope you can come by "the genuine Art-icle" and check out all the shiny beads, original jewelry, and designer kaleidoscopes - you might even sign-up for one of the workshops.
